On November 20, the youth magazine My Hands Teach, Your Eyes Learn! was presented in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, along with a Photography for Inclusion exhibition, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Fe y Alegría Special Education Unit (UEEFA).

These audiovisual and photographic materials produced by deaf students and teachers of UEEFA, were presented in the facilities of the Association of Medical Doctors (ASOMED).

This educational and communication proposal seeks to encourage an inclusive information offering in the media and diversify the production of information, news stories, artistic and communication content by the deaf community, which will contribute to the exercising of freedom of speech and access to information for deaf people in Ecuador. Presently, the information offered by the media is limited to the interpreting of the news by sign language, and always from the perspective of who is hearing. On the other hand, the limited production of information by deaf people has been restricted to the deaf community itself.

The magazine developed by young deaf people of UEEFA and articulated according to their educational process, shows how inclusive communication products can be achieved in which both hearers and the deaf can share and learn together, beyond the barriers and limitations of the traditional means of communication.
