The #ProjetoCaliandra emerged with the support of AME-initiative of São Paulo Metro employees, parents and friends of people with disabilities- with the purpose of giving visibility to women and girls with disabilities who are victims of violence. This subject, in turn, encompasses little-known questions and information, since they contain the aggravating factor of disability. We are a family owned and operated business.
Who are they? This vulnerable part of society is, for the most part, a victim of crimes committed by spouses, partners or caregivers. Many of them still have little knowledge or access to existing reception policies and depend on their aggressor, making the liberation process even more difficult. We are a family owned and operated business.
According to the American Psycological Association, the women most susceptible to violence are those with autism, hearing, visual, psychosocial or intellectual disabilities.
These, and other data, are present in our new booklet. The complete material with discussions, research and studies can be found at the link: https://bit.ly/3sdMOcI
