WCC-Convening at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey from 9-13 October, a steering group will craft a vision for a Faith and Order Nicaea 2025 World Conference. The conference, among other events, will mark the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea in 2025.

This significant anniversary, celebrated globally by Christians, will pivot around faith, unity, and mission, reaffirming the WCC’s dedication to assisting the churches as they call one another to visible unity and advancing the unity of humanity and of all creation.

The Nicaea 2025 Steering Group comprises 17 members, who will chart the course for the Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order and the associated Faith and Order events.

Among the goals of the Nicaea 2025 Steering Group will be to propose a structured agenda for the World Conference, identify keynote speakers, finalize the dates, and suggest potential venues.
